REFRAMING MOVEMENT IN YOUR LIFE
-
Step One is making sure that you know how to properly move. We run you through a movement screen and give corrective exercises for any dysfunctional pattern. We keep re-assessing until your movement is clean, then it’s time for building performance capacities. If your screen shows that you know how to move, then you are immediately off to Step Two: Performance Building.
If you have pain with any of the fundamental movement patterns, we recommend a more thorough movement assessment with our sports physical therapist before loading that pattern.
-
Once we are confident in your fundamental and foundational movement patterns, we begin your strength and conditioning journey. The end goal is to build your performance and keep you off the rehab table. We can do that by either creating an individualized program for you, or we can work with your existing strength coach and routinely monitor your movement patterns as they build your program. Ultimately, we want to develop your physical and mental capacity to excel in your sport or job
-
Pain should never limit your ability to live the life you want. We bring you through recovery, not only restoring your previous function, but building beyond your previous capabilities. Our goal is to get you through rehab as quickly as possible and in a place where you never need it again.
Movement Screen & Performance Training
Working one-on-one with a licensed healthcare professional, you start with an evidence-based movement screen to identify any dysfunctional movement patterns that put you at increased risk for injury. Then we correct your pattern and build your performance capacities. If your movement is clean, then let’s load and go to get you competing at your highest level. We create an individualized program to keep you in the gym, at work and in your sport so you stay off the rehab table.
Injury Recovery
If there’s pain with your screen or you have an existing injury, then the first step is recovery. Our licensed healthcare professionals provide one-on-one, individualized land and aquatic-based rehabilitation programs to minimize your time away from your sport or job. We address acute to chronic sports or overuse injuries, postural dysfunction, pre and post-op rehab, and restoring function from spine pain.
We don’t stop at what you used to do. We unleash your potential and get you better than before.
Mindfulness
The ability to direct your attention and orient your mind to the present moment will take you from good to great. While building your body in performance or injury recovery, we integrate neurophysiological practices to regulate your nervous system for optimal breathing, improve sleep, develop body awareness, lower blood pressure and resting heart rate, and reduce systemic inflammatory markers. The result? Greater presence, focus, and peace. Experts in their job and elite athletes learn to master the mental fortitude and capability to release any thought not relevant to the immediate moment. That’s when “flow” happens.
Learn to regulate your nervous system to improve body awareness, reduce stress and anxiety, increase focus, direct attention, release negative thought patterns, and perform from a place of flow.
